In Home Care Program
The Breast Cancer Society, Inc. is proud to announce its In Home Care Program, providing optimal care for breast cancer patients as well as to their family members.
We understand that a breast cancer patient may need short term assistance during treatment. This may be ecspeially true the days following a surgical procedure. Patient home care is largely provided by loving family members who serve selflessly. At other times, a patient may find themselves going through treatment alone. Compassionate and properly trained caregivers can help alleviate many of the physical and emotional needs of both the family members and patients.
Our In Home Care Program is a short term, non medical program. A skilled caregiver can be scheduled to come to the patient’s home and provide assistance for the patient; both aiding the patient and / or providing relief for the family member. Some of the services provided are: bathing assistance, bedding change, meal preparation, picking up medication, or transportation to a doctor visit, to name just a few.
