Breast Cancer Symptom Information

It is important to visit your doctor immediately if you notice any symptoms of breast cancer. Catching the disease in its earliest stages makes treatment and recovery much easier and more successful, so time is of the essence.

Many women and men who have breast cancer will notice a lump in the breast tissue. These lumps can be detected by performing monthly self-exams. The breast’s size, shape, and color might also change. Swelling is common, as is a change in the skin’s texture. Some women report that their breasts begin to resemble oranges because they turn a reddish color and lumps develop in the skin.
